I learnt to respect others and develop my selfsteem
Children usually do not have any plans during their school holidays. Many children spend time watching televisions or visiting friends. But 90 children from different schools of Makawanpur district untilised their time producatively by participating in Summer Camp organised by Nepal Educational Support Trust ( NEST).
Geeta , a Dalit girl who has been sponsored by NEST shared her experience about Summer camp " It is really great to participate in such programmes. I learnt to respect others and develop my selfsteem. I learnt about cultural diversity and how to solve problems."
NEST had made it possible for disadvantaged children to particiapte in this summer camp for free.
Children had several sessions on child rights, disability, life skills, creative writing, paintings , diversity and threatre.
