The Prajwal School
In collaboration with Everest of Apples,
a charity formed by AJETs of Aomori ken prefecture, Japan NEST runs Prajwal
Shiksha Sadan English School, a primary school which is located in Chaughada,
Hetauda Municipality ward no. 6, Makawanpur. 
This school is registered under institutional trust according to the Education act 2002 of His Majesty's government of Nepal. Thus, it is a non-profit making school, which aims at providing free, and quality education for poor and under privileged children. The medium of instruction in this school is English.
NEST aims to develop this school as a model of schooling in which, local community also shares equal responsibilities and parents themselves are involved in making plan of the school.
In the future, this school will be developed as a teacher-training centre - short term and long term teacher training will be organised in various subjects.

- Established in 1990 as a private school by Mr. Purna Kumar Shrestha
- Mr. Shrestha made the school a charitable school registering it under
institutional trust in 2002
- Supported by NEST and assisted by Everest of Apples,

involve in income generating programme such as goat raising and vocational
